My heart broke for Mungo, looooved the writing style, the switch between the differential characters narratives is well done, was James even real? Maybe he and therefore his relationship with Mungo was just an illusion for Mungo that he created to escape from his reality which is cruelty, aggression, brutality and difficult/horrible family dynamic 

I liked the open ending. I would looove a 2nd part though.
