Go As a River really took me on an emotional ride. Shelley Read did such a great job pulling me into Victoria’s world—I felt every high and low right along with her. The time period added a lot of weight to the challenges she faced, but what I loved most was how she didn’t let it break her. She found a way to keep going and make something of her life, even when things felt impossible. It’s one of those stories that sticks with you.
