Bride by Ali Hazelwood

5.0

I have to admit, while I love Ali Hazelwood, I went into this assuming it would be exactly like her other books, except with vampires and werewolves. I knew I’d still enjoy it because I’ve enjoyed all her others, but I didn’t have high expectations either. As a result, I was very pleasantly surprised. The world building was simple, but interesting, I wanted to know more! I really liked the politics, and that I could understand everything easily. I loved Misery, and man Lowe was my new favorite Hazelwood boyfriend. There is something about making him a wolf that makes all his obsessive clingy behavior irresistible. I did want to stab him during the third act breakup, but I get it, and he’s forgiven.  Overall I am pleasantly surprised and delighted by this whole endeavor, and hope she writes more in this world.
