This was such a different book, I loved the mix of the modern world with the old traditions held by Yadriel’s culture. Having a trans boy as the lead character and as gay, really added a lot more dimensions to the story. It was definitely one of heart, when you read about the author’s own experience. I guessed the twists though and it was a bit slow to start for me, which is why it didn’t get to 5 stars. Still a brilliant book though.
