I wanted to scream at Lo repeatedly that she was being too naive and trusting. It was like she didn't learn anything in the first book. I also wish the author had cut out a good two hours at the end of the book. It was simply too long.
I did like some of the minor characters, who I wish there had been more of in the book. Overall, a meh to not great book.
Narrator Rating: 3.0 stars
While the narrator did an excellent job, the voices she used for the kids were so annoying that I dreaded them. Which made it hard to empathize with Lo wanting to go back to her kids, who seemed to do nothing but whine and wail in extremely shrill voices.
