Honestly almost my entire review contains spoilers. I had so much to say about this heartbreaking story. Justice for Britney. THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS. Idk how to do the spoiler thing through the app so proceed with caution.

Justice for Britney. She didn’t deserve to be treated like this. They used the love she had for her children and weaponized it against her. They knew she’d do anything to see her kids, even if that meant doing as she’s told and not fighting back.

“My freedom in exchange for naps with my children. It was a trade I was willing to make. There’s nothing I love more, nothing more important to me than my children. I’d lay down my life for them. So I thought why not my freedom?”

Not only did they take away quality time with her children (one thing a good mother shouldn’t be denied) they also took away her voice. The ability to speak her mind and to be herself. She wasn’t given choice, and her wants and needs were constantly ignored. That took something from her, from deep within. Her womanhood, her ability to be the person she wanted to be. They stole her identity.

“My pride as a woman wouldn’t let me take it seriously. The conservatorship stripped me from my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person on stage.”

He seen her as an opportunity to make money and that’s it. They ignored her as their daughter, and as a human being. To be able to do this to your own flesh and blood is incredibly inhuman.

After a long heart wrenching journey, she finally got free from her conservatorship. She now gets to be unapologetically herself. I hope she enjoys every bit of freedom. She deserves everything good that comes her way. My heart goes out to her.

“I am free now. I’m just being myself and trying to heal. I finally get to do what I want, when I want. And I don’t take a minute of that for granted.”

(Note: I listened to the audiobook and tried to quote it accurately. Some punctuation might be wrong.)
