I have seen this book on multiple must-read lists, and my hair stylist recommended it to me. I assumed it would be a run-of-the-mill thriller, I was very wrong. This book is pretty gruesome (I'm typically a horror reader, so keep in mind that this may be too gruesome for some).
The writing was easy to follow and engaging, but I agree with other reviews that the chapters needed to be shorter. It's a 600-something page book, and some chapters are 30+ pages.
The MC was definitely a bit annoying and was a pretty typical wealthy house wife. I saw some plot twists coming, but they didn't play out exactly how I thought. I will definitely read more thrillers by this author.
