The Key to My Heart
by Lia Louis
This book surprised me. I tend to shy away from more emotional or serious romance stories but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The main character is navigating life after the loss of a loved one and how to move on while experiencing grief. It was so compelling watching her relationships (friendships and romantic interests) develop and evolve throughout the story. Although I didn’t love them all at the beginning, I liked where they ended up. I wasn’t sure how the plot would go but though I was a bit concerned, I thought it was satisfying and made sense in a way that wasn’t too emotionally manipulative which can sometimes be a turn-off in these kinds of books. 👤🫅🏻👯♀️📈☀️
