I think we all know by now how much I loved the first two books in this series (both 5 stars for me), but this one just didn’t quite meet my expectations. The ending was great, everything made sense, but it felt a tad forced and maybe a bit rushed? Like I get they had been leading up to it for a while, but then right at the end the whole plan changes and it somehow works then everyone lives happily ever after? I don’t know, there was just something about it that felt a little off to me. However, I still truly loved this series! I loved learning more about the fates and seeing them be more prevalent in the plot. I also loved how Scarlett finally got more of a character arc and held a more important role in the story. Unlike the first two books in the series, this one focuses more on relationships, the past, the future, and love. I think this may also be a part of why this one fell slightly flat for me - the first two books had magic, illusion, and gripping confusion that made me physically unable to put the book down, whereas this one didn’t really suck me in the way I thought it would.
Overall, I would still absolutely recommend this series!! Honestly, one of my more recent favorites! Excited to move onto OUABH now hehe
