Overall, it’s alright. Spicy scenes are great, excluding one. 2*s for good writing and the spice, otherwise everything else falls short of expectation in my book.

I really wanted to like this book more than what I did. The age gap is kind of concerning (19/30 y.o.) and especially during one specific scene (a non-con/consensual scene for the FL). The repetitive “she’s a teenager, I shouldn’t want her” gave me the ick because I’m around Wolfe’s age and I would NEVER list after a 19 y.o. Even the ML mentions “borderline pedo”, which barely scratches the service because half the men in this book lust after her.
She unfortunately has her teenage drama throughout the entire book, which causes way too many misunderstandings because she wants Wolfe to see her as a woman and not as a kid. That’s ironic considering she’s childish and immature from the get go. Also the whole time there’s talk about her making her way in life, getting an education and wanting a job but ends up being a housewife/Madam President in the end, even though “Mr. Senator” didn’t do any type of senator work besides flying his private jet and almost getting shot up at a high school pep rally.
Finally, I would have much rather had a better justice served than the typical pregnancy trope, because they fought, he begged for her and then timeskip— everything’s peachy! There was a lot of build up for the downfall of her father and wouldn’t you know it, we didn’t get to really see any of it actually happen.
Would I recommend it to someone? Probably not. The spicy scenes are top notch though which is a mild plus, minus of course the one in particular.
