There is no denying that more of these topics need to be in YA books. They are hard and dark, but they are important because they are reality.
I personally did not connect with the story and characters. I can't explain specifically what is was. This is my third Holly Bourne book and none have been winners for me, but I will still read them because they make me think.
The messages alone are worth it.
