I don't know what's going on with this book, it's the third book in the trilogy and suddenly they are killing off main characters left and right. The deaths were flat and weren't really given any time or compassion by the narrative. In particular Wind Jackal's death was rushed past and never really addressed futher.
Thaw Daggerslash was ridiculously evil to the point that it made no sense that no one suspected him properly all the way through, it makes no sense that Spillins didn't say anything to anyone about his concerns about hiis aura.
So much off the book was building up this big sky ship that ended up being barely relevant to the plot and didn't do one iota of damage.
Overall this book really just did not hit, nothing really in it was compelling and it was a flat end to a below average series. I will still read the Twig trilogy as I have already bought it and I have fonder memories of those books but I am not filled with optimism for them.
