Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.

I love the themes in this: it's feminist and anti-colonialist in a really powerful way. The plots that drive those themes are good but, unfortunately, the story spends a lot of time on two romances that just did not work for me. Both relationships felt very "instalove" and neither had any depth and derailed the (far more interesting) plot.  The sex scenes are also a little cringe and there are way too many.
