4.0

Genre: Teacher Romance
Tropes: Grumpy/Sunshine,Enemies to Lovers,Alphahole
POV: Dual
Overall Rating: 4 Stars

Once again Meghan Quinn has taken me on a journey and boy was it a good one but like any journey there were some bumps in the road. Let's start with the characters. Overall the characters were well rounded and interesting to read about however there were two characters that I had differing opinions of at different stages of the story, namely Keiko and Arlo.

The way Keiko speaks grated on my nerves a bit from the beginning but by the end of the book I felt like it was kind of endearing in a way. Arlo’s hot and cold act was difficult to follow along with at times but once we got into his backstory and we got a better insight into his head I understood him a little bit better.

“God, you’re infatuated, aren’t you?” Cora asks. “The proper term would be bewitched, Coraline. Utterly bewitched.”

Meghan Quinn has this way of making you feel for characters from the get go. Not even just the main characters but every single character. For example, two of my favorite characters from this book were Gunner and Romeo. I love their banter with Mr. Turns Me On and the relationship they developed with Greer I feel was priceless and exactly what she needs.

I am looking forward to continuing my Meghan Quinn journey and following the stories of some of the side characters as well as meeting new characters. Every Meghan Quinn book is a journey and I love each and every single one… so far.

It doesn’t matter the genre, what matters is the escape. The appreciation for getting lost in words.
