don't know if anyone else feels this way, but i can't wait to reread keegans books year after year. I would love to listen to the audiobook to this one next christmas
it's also interesting to read this after reading some books about ireland during the same time period. as an american, i definitely feel like I don't know as much as i should about irish history. there is a quietness to this book. i think my only complaint is i wish this book wasn't from a man's perspective, but I understand why that choice was made. can't wait to watch the movie either, and im sure I'll take away different things from this book year after year
