The Secret History by Donna Tartt

4.0

it dragged. a lot. i’m not the first person to say this nor will i be the last. but i did find myself genuinely entangled with the characters and their messy dynamics and personalities, which is a feat in a book so. fucking. long.

also, after finally reading this, the constant comparison to if we were villains is so misplaced it actually hurts. are the settings and extremely big pictures plots similar? sure. but aside from that i find the books heavily diverging in terms of themes and character dynamics. so.
