What doesn't this book have? You have a brooding (but not stepping into grumpy territory) florist MMC and a FMC wedding planner who have PREVIOUS HISTORY TOGETHER? Tap in some interesting family anecdotes, particularly FMC's mother who has been married SIXTEEN TIMES?

Ugh, I loved this book. Ama and Elliot? Even their names sound adorable together.

Let's touch on some things that I absolutely LOVED and really think Julie Soto did a great job with here.

1. Organizing the pacing. There are chapters that occur about every other with flashbacks of the couple's previous history which gives insight, little by little, alluding to why everything is so tense now. For some books and some writing, this would pose a pacing problem as you can often get lost in where and when you are.

Soto counteracts this by adding Mar and Michael. Weddings take a while to plan. Even this rushed one is taking months and many many weddings pass that Ama does, small little stories to keep the reader informed that time is in fact passing. The same happens with Mar and Michael. You have small mentions of Mar on a date, seeing someone, Ama meeting him, and the rest which I will not spoil. But this alludes to a normal relationship time frame in which time IS passing and it helps to find the months and the milestones.

2. The mother. For a while, I thought there would be a scene with Ama and her mother or even her father about why. Why. Why. Why. To help Ama get through the problems she obviously has with relationships and commitment (who can blame her). But ultimately, it's Ama herself that gets her through it. Because a woman who gets married 16 times isn't going to change in less than a year. But perhaps Ama herself can break that cycle and help herself.

3. This book easily adds in little bits and pieces of the characters for you TO fall in love with. It's amazing. My highlights will detail IT ALL, please look. Also, the ending/epilogue is perfect and everything surrounding the social media/content/influencing part type of this book is perfectly realistic and not overdone at all.

I knew I should have bought this book too for Soto to sign... sigh... rereading my Libby kindle hold highlights will have to be enough. Also, where can I find an Elliot?
