Wow. I really didn’t expect this book to make me cry after reading the first one and bawling my eyes out (y’all who have read it know what chapter I’m talking about). I loved seeing everything unfold in the last few chapters. Just when I thought I was one step ahead of the author she threw me a curb, but I loved the thrill of it. Once again, she managed to make me trust someone who I shouldn’t have trusted, and I got my feelings hurt. I particularly liked how the culprit wasn’t a particularly good person but it was easy to understand their motives. This book really showed how no person is fully bad or good. Speaking of that, we NEED to talk about Pip’s character growth. I LOVED IT. It’s amazing to see how she’s changed from the first book. She’s finally breaking away from her mold and becoming such an independent and capable person. I love her for that and can’t wait to see what she does next in “As Good As Dead.” I’ve heard many people say that the third book is the best in the series so I have high hopes. Here’s to hoping I’m not disappointed.
