Rebel Heir
by Vi Keeland
Release Date: April 7, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Actual Rating: 5 stars
Damn!!! This book got me in the best of ways. I freakin LOVED it. There's just something about setting a book in the Hampton's that makes me squirm (in a good way), and adding on to the fact that our heroine is a budding romance author makes it even better. But the best thing about this book? RUSH. He slayed my heart. How can a bad boy be so... Good? You guys, this is a MUST read. It's everything I wanted and needed in a romance, and so damn satisfying (even with that cliffy). I'm glad I waited to read this until now because I don't think I could wait a moment longer to get my needy little hands on the second book which THANKFULLY releases on May 22.
Rebel Heir is the first book in the Rush series duet. These books MUST be read in order as duets follow the same couple whose romance spans two books. I think the authors like to make their readers crazy in doing this... I hate having to wait for the second book. Luckily, I have come to love both Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward so I can easily forgive them.
Rush is your typical bad boy with money. He came into an inheritance from a grandfather who didn't know about him for much of his life. Rush loves being able to live life as he pleases- bedding woman, booze, smokes, you name it. But he is also a sensible man and knows the importance of having your own business. So he owns a bar in the Hampton's along with some summer houses. So what seems to be missing from his life? Maybe a sweet and sassy girl next door? Pshh. He has no time for relationships. But this bad mouthed sweetheart seems to capture his heard one cuss word at a time...
Gia is your typical fun, loving girl. She has a heart of gold, a sassy attitude, and life many dream of having. Too bad she can't have love too. Or can she? Soon after Rush and Gia meet (via FATE, thank you very much) they have a hard time NOT wanting to be together. But no sooner then they start to trust each other that something else threatens to split these two apart for good. What could this little TWIST of fate are we talking about? I certainly won't tell you. But if and when you read, prepared to be SHOCKED. And the way it ends... You are going to go freakin MAD.
Rebel Heir is another fantastic novel from the dynamic duo of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. If you are a fan of either or BOTH of these authors then I strongly recommend picking up this book. Not only is the cover GORGEOUS (hello, who doesn't like a book with a hot man on the cover) but the stuff on the inside? Even BETTER.
