Verity by Colleen Hoover
3.0
I didn’t really enjoy reading this one.
The twist at the end was good. The description of the disturbing scenes were perfect. But these were the only things I liked about the book.
The fmc pissed me off so hard throughout the book, there are TONS of plot holes in the story, and so much unnecessary detailed sexual content. I admit it was the first book with so much sexual scenes that I’ve ever read, but that’s not why I’m complaining; I’m complaining because they were sooooo repetitive and even more unnecessary. And speaking of being repetitive, how many times did I read the sentence “her books were written from the villain’s pov” in the book? Okay i get it. Two times was enough and even more than enough. Why the repetition of the same exact sentence over and over again?
I’m giving the book 3 stars just because I really enjoyed the disturbing scenes from Verity’s manuscripts. To be honest, this book only deserves 2 stars. The first and last book of Colleen Hoover that I’ll ever read.
