The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie

4.0

I liked this more than expected. I had tended to find Agatha Christie a little cliched, but only because she came up with so much that was copied by later writers. This is still sharp and tricky 80 years after it was written.

I did think the twist of the murderers killing a completely innocent look alike to throw off the timeline was a little too much. Yes, if you are willing to kill one person, why not two, but multiple murders draw more heat than one and offer more opportunities to slip up. Real murders make mistakes too, but that just felt a little off.
