I don’t think this author has a good handle or view on abusive relationships. The way a lot of the relationships were set up, and then some of the conflict at the end, wasn’t resolved in a way that I think is truthful or helpful when dealing with some situations as detrimental and abusive as she was. And I don’t think the love interest apologized for the right things, and it was like no one else (author or characters) saw the issues in his actions the way I did. Overall, a disappointing read because for the beginning of the book I was enjoying it, but it went downhill for me.
