I really found this book fun and sweet. I love anything with a little bit of lighthearted romance and magic. The twist even got me, which was pretty fun. I didn’t really enjoy a lot of the Lillian plot line because it felt far fetched in terms of plot and character development. It set back my opinion of the inhabitants in Nowhere House a bit — what kind of lesson is it for a child when you bury and hide the dead body of their loved one?? I wasn’t sure the author would pull me back in after that but I thought it tied it up nicely that Primrose was Lillian’s sister. The chosen family aspect of the book was my favorite part! I would be happy to read another book by this author in the future.
