This was a very solid book and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would even though the story went differently than what I was expecting based on the blurb. While it is definitely a slower story, it felt very immersive and by the end I felt very connected to the characters. I didn’t expect to enjoy the ending but I actually love how the author decided to end it- it felt very complete but also left you wondering. Overall, I enjoyed the book, but sometimes the language or descriptions pulled me out of the story from being too verbose (I guess thats the best way to put it?). Also there are no chapters or sections in this book - which I understand why it was made that way, but did make it difficult to get through.
