Lol what.
What was this.
This was the second Murder She Wrote tie-in I've read and I think it will be the last. This was all just very fast and I am ??? about it.
This is very much a product of its time, so Jessica is talking about needing to lose weight and eat salads. She feels OOC in this book, so I think this needs to be a separate thing from the show.
I'm confused when this book is supposed to take place, because it doesn't make sense within the show chronology or even Jessica's own backstory. It's published in 1995, near the end of the show's run, but Jessica is nervous about accidentally making a political stand (getting political) or giving a lecture before a class? She's supposed to be a former teacher! She served in Congress in 1985! She feels weird about going on a date, not because she ever thinks about Frank but because she wishes she were on a date with some guy named George Sutherland. Who? I just feel like there are too many OCs and I don't like that for a tie-in NOR a fanfic. This is just a weird separate mystery that had a darker vibe than I expected, and the story just didn't make a lot of sense.
