Saga: Compendium One by Fiona Staples, Brian K. Vaughan

4.0

This is the perfect story for lovers of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Visually, it was stunning from the cute kiddie faces to the blood and gore of the battlefield. The story was also layered and immersive. A lot of issues were tackled that you may not expect, for example miscarriages. It was allllllll there. That included some graphic content that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Trigger warnings should probably be in place for every trigger that exists. But in most cases I think the authors were trying to put current day issues into the spotlight to stimulate some sort of commentary, which their characters ran with.

People also die a lot. Do not form attachments. Keep that Game of Thrones like attachment with everyone where they’re here today, but decapitated tomorrow.
