This book is so raw and honest. It tells all about the inside life of a man with a passion for basketball being shut out and kept from his dreams because he is Black, because he is aware, because he refuses to let go of those in his community who didn’t win “the lottery”. I’m not really a basketball fan, and yet Hodges is now my favorite sports star.
