Love Frankie by Nick Sharratt, Jacqueline Wilson

I can't rate this anything other than 5 stars. It's another book I wish younger me had.

The confidence, the messy emotions, the turmoil of being very young and trying to make sense of so much at once. It feels real, the questions and emotions are things many go through. This book doesn't have answers, but I hope it - as with many of Jacqueline's books - makes kids in similar shoes feel a bit less alone and a bit more understood.

As a book on its own, aside from the importance of it existing, I loved it. I loved the characters, the arcs, the rawness of the emotions. It all flowed in a nice way, the actions all made sense and it felt all grounded in reality. The characters all felt human, with all their flaws and wants. In my opinion, its certainly one of the best books she's written so far, by a good shot.
