erina 's review for:
Feast of Fools
by Rachel Caine
Like the previous three Morganville Vampire books this book consistently grabbed my attention, while also irritating the crap out of me and leaving me right smack dab in the middle of a scene during its so-called conclusion. I'm invested in the characters and the overall story arc is interesting, but the stupidity of the characters, or more specifically Claire, the main character, is frustrating, as are some plot inconsistencies. Without giving too much away, my problem with this book is that as a reader I saw the clearly obvious big-bad-danger the whole time that Claire was whining like a three-year-old over nonsense and missing the blatant set-up. That is a lot of dumb in one apparently smart character.
Will continue on with the series, which I, somewhat inexplicably, enjoy...but will continue shaking my head at the obliviousness of our fictional heroine.
