The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan

3.0

I liked the symmetry in all the parallel storylines where we could really tell (even without glancing at the map, because I’m not a map person) that they were all very close to each other on their journeys to Tear. It built a lot of momentum, and I thought the final battle here was much better written than the last couple. But for real, how can Rand still believe he’s killing the Dark One for real? Also Rand is a very unlikable dude in this entire book and I’m not sure why. I guess so we can focus our energy getting to know the other characters? But all these ladies are still pining for him secretly, and I just want to go “no girl, you can do better”. We’ll see if he recovers in the next book.
