I was willing to give this book 2 stars until the pregnancy trope in the epilogue. A personal quip, maybe, but also becoming a mother before her figure skating career has really begun (after a Gold Olympic medal but still) doesn't really feel in character for Anastasia but who even knows.

Literally nothing about the main couple felt believable. There's attraction at first sight, which I can handle depending on how it's done, sure, but the chemistry is,,,, less romance more sex. Which i'm sure some people like, but personally, a relationship based entirely on sex for the majority of their written interaction is not very appealing.

Seriously, these two people were telling themselves how in love they are towards the ending of the book and I could barely understand why. They even explained why and all I could think is, when did you even learn this about each other? Not even their banter could distract from that. Them falling in love was told to us, not shown, I truly could not comprehend what these two could love about the other based off what was written.

I did like the fact that Anastasia was in therapy though. Love the positive therapy rep!!

The sex scenes were good too. 4 🌟 if I was judging them alone.
