The Wise Hours: A Journey into the Wild and Secret World of Owls by Miriam Darlington

adventurous emotional informative inspiring reflective sad slow-paced

4.5

This book was very enjoyable. I also have a son with a seizure disorder, and it came on suddenly with little warning signs I missed before hand. My kiddo was only 6 when it happened, but wow...that part was relatable for me personally.  I loved the way she wrote about the owls and people who helped her find them.  :) I hope Miriam gets to see her snowy, great gray, and Hawk owls someday.  Snowies and Great Gray's are SO delightful to watch, I've spent a lot of time photographing both.  Anyway, I really loved this book.
