Dog owners, and decent human beings - be prepared to cry. I made the mistake of reading this on a long flight, and had to put my Kindle down several times to regain composure. The book was told from the perspective of Enzo, a dog who loves auto racing as much as his human. Racing becomes a metaphor for Denny and Enzo as they struggle through life's twists and turns. Much of this book hit close to home regarding the situation that affected Enzo's female human. I will admit - I am a dog owner who is convinced my dog is as smart and aware as Enzo, including the intentional "waste dumping" (my dog decided to mark my brand new $1200 mattress the second night I had it. Good thing for waterproof mattress covers!).
