Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami

Honestly? No. This narrative that virtuous, kind men end up with women who are the "seductresses", and who "take advantage of them", who won't hesitate to betray them, and then the men being the sooo kindhearted ones who'll take everything in because this is the "noble" way. And then, the sweet, kindhearted and most importantly BEAUTIFUL women who end up with men that neglect them, who are not mentally "there" with them, who treat them awful? What the Hell? This black and white version of life, that people can't be happy, that someone always ends up giving more and somehow men are the only ones who have it bad, because they're so graceful and kind and yet they show no speck of emotions because God forbid they allow themselves to be ✨EmOtIoNaL✨ because soothing emotions are being considered feminine right? Because caring about someone and actually standing by them isn't so noble? Because feeling sad, angry or betrayed, is "normal", these don't count as emotions though, because they're ToUgH? Honestly, I don't know who hurt Murakami, but he has so little appreciation for women and thinks so highly of his own sex and the fact that all his characters should be "noble" in order to matter? To suck in their emotions and always do the "noble" thing? He is a big no no for me from now on.
