A tender and important memoir of a Queer Muslim person and their experiences leaving their South Asian, growing up in the Middle East, and eventually, college and beyond in America.
Lamya’s interpretation of the Quran taught me a lot about faith and Islam in a tangible and contemporary way that I’ve never seen before (for any religion). Thoughtful and introspective and excellent.
Certain parts really hit me hard. Highly recommend this book to all, particularly white people.
