Second time reading: My feelings haven't changed and neither has my review. I love this series and it makes me so happy. This is the kind of book you read/listen to as a "pick me up" when you just want to laugh and feel good. It hasn't even been a full three months and I decided to read this series again.

Wish I'd known before I started this series that I was reading these books out of order, but of the first three books in Portuguese Irregular Verbs/Dr. von Igelfeld Series, this is undoubtedly the funniest and reads more like an anthology of stories surrounding the same character.
If you love dry and witty humor, these are the stories for you.
Alexander McCall Smith is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers in satire and I wish I'd discovered him much earlier in my life because he also writes books for children.
