Perfect Chaos
by Jodi Ellen Malpas
Being a huge fan of The Man, I wasnt sure what to expect but I was excited to read another book by her.
The story is a single POV from Ty Christianson who is a rich successful man whore. He has no trouble finding a woman to help keep his bed warm at night. He owns a business with his close friend Sal who has been struggling to balance his home and work life so he hires a new personal assitant. Incomes Lainey. Lainey is beautiful, and catches Ty's eye immediately. But there's a basic rule: employees are off limits. Ty has always stuck to this, never getting involved with an employee.
They both try to fight the attraction and the immediate deep connection they feel for one another however they give in.
The story is well written but I cannot tell if I liked it. The beginning of their relationship was bumpy and I almost found it annoying, I struggled to be invested. As the story developed, I enjoyed it a little more BUT then Lainey's secret comes out and I just dont like her. It. Lainey;s past has made her a revengful, almost petty woman so she becomes a honeytrap. This means she gets paid to catch men cheating.
Ty finds out, explodes because he just doesnt understand and married woman have always been a no no for himself in his manwhore-ih ways. He eventually forgives her nad they get a happy ending.
Did I enjoy it? I guess so... Will I read it again? No.
