The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

5.0

I do love the little Goldfinch. I also enjoyed this big book!
The pacing was the best I've seen so far, I think Donna Tartt is a talented author with her own charm. Perhaps not comparable to Fabritius' work, but as perfect and personal as the character Pippa was. Special in its own right. Characters and scenes in there not because they were needed in the story, but because they had to be there for the reality this book proposes to us.

The goldfinch may never be free, but the strength in its eyes will never fade either.
