I'm only a little bitter about being rejected for this eARC months ago because I completely devoured this story when my library copy came in. I have some qualms; for example, I rolled my eyes at Evangline's naivety for most of the book, and sometimes the prose was a little too whimsical and ethereal for me. But I love a grumpy, all-powerful dude who secretly loves the protagonist, and that is definitely Jacks, the Fate whose kiss could literally kill.

If you love fairy tales and don't mind a cruel cliffhanger, pick this one up now.
