So I liked this book much better than I thought I would! While I agree with Morgan about the sex issue, I still really like the characters and even got a little teary eyed toward the end. Besides the characters I like how the author showed how wrong some stereotypes can be. Brittany seems to have everything she could possible want, the perfect life but she doesn't. And the same with Alex's tough guy image.

My other possible issue is the gang life. I don't know if it is ever possible to leave, even as Alex did. But I am glad the story focused more on school than the gang stuff.
