 I love stories where we see the world through an innocent, but unreliable character's eyes, especially when we as readers notice that something might not be quite right with their world before they do. Piranesi features such a character, in addition to a fantastic, charming, mysterious, heartbreaking, and ultimately heartwarming story. The best way to enjoy this book is to know as little as possible about it so that one can be as immersed in its magical pages as the protagonist is in his mystifying world. A perfect example of wonderful storytelling!
