This was such a heartwarming story. I loved this book so much I'm actually sad I finished it. And I can't believe I CRIED. WOW. Like actual tears were rolling down my face, I just couldn't stop it. I'm not even sure I can explain why it hit me so hard right in the feels, it just did.
I was sad but happy but mad but happy throughout the whole book, how's that even possible?
WHY AM I STILL CRYING??
The characters were unique, that's how I can describe them. I thought the same thing about the characters of "My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry", I don't know what makes them so different, I think it's just the writer doing an excellent job.

People had always said that Ove was bitter. But he wasn't bloody bitter. He just didn't go around grinning the whole time.
OVE WAS JUST A MISUNDERSTOOD MAN. HE WAS A KIND SOUL AND THE WORLD DIDN'T DESERVE HIM, PERIOD!
He was just an honest man and the only thing he wanted was to enjoy the simple things in life, he didn't mess with anyone and he wasn't complicated, he was just a devoted husband and a hardworking man.
I adored Ove and Sonja's charming love story. The way he saw her and knew right away that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. And the way they were so different from one another but also complemented each other. I think it's beautiful how much Ove loved Sonja. I also think that's why their tragic story hit me so hard because they didn't deserve everything that happened to them.
After Sonja's death, I think meeting Parvaneh and her family it's just what he needed. It changed him for the best. No, it didn't change him, he was already like that but didn't dare to show it to anyone else. It made me really happy to see their relationship developed, they became like father and daughter, Ove had the opportunity to have a family again.
Dude, Parvaneh's daughters called him GRANDPA AND HE BOUGHT AN IPAD FOR THE OLDER ONE EVEN THOUGH HE HATES TECHNOLOGY AND HE HELPED ADRIAN WITH HIS CAR.
I'm crying again.
