Undone by the Ex-Con by Talia Hibbert
4.0

Isaac Montgomery is famous - and infamous - for the worst day of his life and he is used to sticking out like a sore thumb and used to being viewed as a bad boy that can get ladies off on "poverty porn." Lizzie Olusegun-Keynes has a secret about why she is no longer dazzling crowds as a ballerina on the Paris stage. When these two opposites find each other in the sea of humanity - it is a slow burn that burns their world down.

I loved this book! Isaac is so painfully quiet and not even a grumpy hero - just a silent observer who I was fascinated by. He expresses himself best by writing and it is awesome that he is this large, intimidating human who really prefers quiet and a pen. Lizzie is truly brilliant and amazing and her wrestling with her own perceptions of her weakness is just a visceral story that couldn't have been better.

On top of all of that - Hibbert has fascinating commentaries on toxic families, the world of the ultra-rich and their exact opposites, and what are the limits to what you would do for the ones that you love.
