Curse of the Spellmans by Lisa Lutz

God. Damn. It. Isabel.
I was wondering why Isabel didn't run background checks on the missing women and/or the men married to them (I actually have already forgotten if she did check on the men or not). I had my suspicions what Brown was doing after the second missing lady and for a person who wants to know everything about everyone, it really bugged me that it never occurred to her to look further into their history. What the heck. But I guess everyone gets blinkered every now and again.
I honestly didn't think I'd even read the second instalment, but I was curious if the second book was kind of as ridiculous as the first and it was. Maybe even a bit more so. And somehow the Spellmans have grown on me... I actually am looking forward to read the third instalment.
