Vivian Apple at the End of the World by Katie Coyle

5.0

I was lucky enough to receive this book through either a give away or promotion (it was never made totally clear to me) and I was ecstatic because I had heard nothing but great things. And all those things were true and then some! I really enjoyed this book from start to finish because it had a little of everything. There was Vivian discovering a bit about herself through every part of the book, not just at the start or at the climax or at the end, but through each part Viv understood herself, and the world, a little better and that is really what hit home for me. I don't think as a teenager we have a specific moment where we just download and upgrade to understand ourselves or the world or our family or friends better but that it is a process we learn from as we go and experience things and Katie Coyle captured that really fantastically in this.
