Murder Uncorked by Maddie Day

2.0

Usually I am a fan of armchair sleuth murder mysteries, but this one fell flat. The characters all felt very 2D and didn’t have much substance to them. There was not much of a connection to the victim and so I wasn’t invested in whether this case got solved, and then the perpetrator was obvious. It didn’t even feel like a satisfying reveal since there was no build up. I was more invested in the relationship with Cece and her daughter and wish that could have been resolved.
