A true guilty pleasure book: extraordinarily dark and disturbing, but so much fun to read. The prose is as decadent as the meals described by the food critic-turned-serial killer narrator, and I had a hard time putting it down. I don't invoke the spirit of Donna Tartt lightly, but if you wished The Secret History was somehow even more fucked up, this might be the book for you.
