Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Volume 1: The Coulson Protocols by

3.0

"The stars of the hit TV show Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. explore the all-new, all-different Marvel universe" makes me think of when Barry went to Earth 2 but it isn't like that. I've never read the original comics so I can't say (other than Mockingbird, Hawkeye, Grant, and Wolverine, because of reading reviews) which are supposed to be the tv show/movie versions or the comic versions. If Fitz is supposed to be the tv show version him flirting with May seems very out of place. There are a few other moments that seem very out of place for the tv show characters, Coulson actually seems more like the movie version. I found it odd that certain characters that appear on the show are comic book versions instead of the tv show versions (Bobbi, Deathlok & Ward). I'm not sure if this is just an alternate timeline or something. Phil is the closest to his MCU character in the comics [except, like I said, the movie version, not the tv show version]. I went into this book thinking they'd be the comic book versions [I hadn't read the back of the book until after I'd read it]. If they were all supposed to be the comic book versions I'd rate this higher.
