Our Italian Summer by Jennifer Probst
2.0
This book took me forever to read despite its length. I think, in the end, it was just dull. Here’s this book set in one of the richest, most fascinating places in the world, and it manages to read more like a bullet point tourism guide of places to visit and food to eat. Even those pieces lack much description. Add in a multi-generation family dynamic lacking much depth for the level of emotional turmoil supposedly taking place. Overall, it was just lackluster. I still want to go back to Italy, but you could just say the name “Italy”, and I’d be thirsting to go.
