While this book was written about a very sad and heavy subject the author did a wonderful job with bringing to light how great of a person Maddy was and while it looked like she had everything together she was struggling. This is a book that every parent, teacher, coach, athletic trainer should read.
This book should also be somehow incorporated into a mandatory read for freshman as a starting point to give freshman information on who and where they can go to get help if they find themselves struggling like Maddy did.
Even though this is a sad story, hopefully this book can help even just one person get the help they need and help family and friends recognize the signs and struggles.
Kudos to the author! Job well done with a subject that cannot be easy to write about!
